Professionally trained guide dogs and assistance dogs for people with a visual impairment and for people with a mobility-related disability

No referral required * application available online or upon request * applicants evaluated on physical condition, mobility, degree of blindness and ability to care for and work a guide dog * interview, waiting list and residential training class

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Permanent residents of Canada who are registered legally blind and 16 years and older ; strong sense of independence and mobility ; ability to walk two routes independently ; reasonable physical health and a stable home environment
