Service Description:
|
Unemployed or underemployed people with disabilities can get help through drop-in resource centres, job search assistance programs, and job-skills workshops * employment counselling and career planning services provide information on the labour market, grants, funding, apprenticeships, and other opportunities for ongoing support
Programs and supports include:
Ready, Willing and Able (RWA) - builds labour force participation of adults 18 years of age and older with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) * services include interships and field placements to support post-secondary studies, job preparation and job search support, and building relevant skills
EmploymentWorks - supports youth and adults 15 years of age and older with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who want to enter the workforce and retain employment * services include one-to-one employment planning and support, a funded work experience opportunity, job sampling opportunities, and coaching after employment is secured * hybrid program - participants must be able to attend online and in-person sessions
