The African Women's Alliance of Waterloo Region (AWAWR) is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering African women, girls, youth, and families through culturally responsive programs, advocacy, education, and leadership development. Since 1995, AWAWR has fostered safe, inclusive spaces that strengthen resilience, promote health and well-being, prevent gender-based violence, and celebrate African heritage while building stronger, more connected communities
